Sacred Space
England's 42 Cathedrals were visited by somewhere between 9 million and 12.5 million people in 2003 (depending on whose research you read. There are many reasons to rejoice about this, but interestingly their contribution to social and economic development is quite significant, in addition to their spiritual contribution to the visitors' lives.
